Let me tell you a few things about the benefits of the FOCI – Measuring Productivity Through Science.
In an increasingly fast-paced professional environment, measuring and improving productivity becomes essential to achieving success. One innovative tool that has attracted attention is the FOCI device, based on the science of recognizing emotions through automatic learning.
How does FOCI work?
The FOCI device uses machine learning to interpret breathing patterns and movements associated with emotional states and concentration levels. It provides a unique insight into the user’s state of mind, analyzing how breathing changes depending on stress, relaxation or concentration.

Measuring the Subtleties of Breathing:
Breathing is related to emotional states and levels of attention. FOCI accurately analyzes how breathing changes in different contexts, providing useful data on the user’s well-being
Neuro-Breathing Recognition:
When a researcher discovers a neuro-respiratory pattern, it requires the analysis of a concise data set and hours of processing. FOCI uses machine learning to make this process more efficient and natural, carefully examining the details of diaphragmatic breathing in real time with a small device, ideal for everyday use.
Emotional biofeedback and attention control:
FOCI is not only designed to measure productivity, but also to improve it. Its ability to detect emotions in real time represents a revolution in biofeedback training, helping users to regulate their emotional states and concentrate more effectively.
Improving performance through awareness:
Biofeedback, as a technique, is designed to increase awareness and control over involuntary physiological states. FOCI brings this technique into the modern age, offering a small and smart device that can be integrated into daily routines for more effective stress management and increase the productivity.

n a constantly changing professional landscape, innovative tools like FOCI bring a scientific and conscious perspective to measuring and improving productivity. By integrating the science of emotion recognition and biofeedback into the workplace, FOCI becomes an essential ally for those who want to achieve better performance and a better balance between mental state and productivity.
“Know the enemy and know yourself; in a hundred battles you will never be in peril.”
- ― Sun Tzu, The Art of War
Having used this little device for about 3 years now, I can say that it is extremely accurate in interpreting my current state in real time. In other words, I’ve learned more about myself and the so-called “attention thieves” (the daily distractions around me).
One thing to note about this device is that it works best when you’re sitting in a chair, so you have almost direct contact with your body. I say “almost directly” because it can measure excellently through a thin layer of fabric, such as a T-shirt or a second skin and it doesn’t necessarily come into direct contact with our skin.
So if we position it correctly, as in the image above, on our waistband, inside our pants, we can see on the FOCI app how we concentrate or how distracted we are throughout the day, during office work or even during meditation. It’s so precise that I noticed that, during a focus session, when I received a notification on my smathphone from a message app, it also registered that I was distracted. So we can see that a simple movement of looking at the phone screen can be measured and interpreted with Machine Leanring and improved by the user through exercises or other devices such as Neorythm.
The app also offers exercises to improve performance using breathing techniques, as well as an identification of our situation according to the Cambridge Focus Framework, which describes the interaction of five vicious cycles of negative emotions.
